StoneHedge.net.au provides top quality Website Design and Hosting solutions for those who wish to sell/promote their products and services online, or simply want a personal presence on the web. We are based in Australia but our servers are located in the United States powered by world class infrastructure. We utilize multiple redundant connections and BGP to ensure the best performance and guaranteed uptime of the network. We take many steps to make sure our customers' data is safe and sound.
All of our Network Operation Centers (NOCs) features high level security, raised flooring, climate-control, UPS power supply, and dire suppression system. The servers have multiple redundant connections to major backbones with industry leaders such as Aleron, Level3, Qwest, NAC and 16 other bandwidth providers. Each of our NOCs are powered by multiple OC-3 & OC-192 connections. Our NOC is equipped with Cisco routers and Dell/IBM servers. We also have in place a unique firewall to ensure server security. Because we are actually on a backbone, we are able to provide you with one of the fastest, most reliable connections available.
The network runs the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4) for best case routing. Our entirely switched, Cisco powered network employs Cisco GSR 12000 class routers running HSRP (N+1 hot fail over) to ensure that data can be routed even in the event of a router failure. The BGP4 protocol is a standard that allows for the routing of packets of information sent out from our network. Each packet of information is evaluated and sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant network architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes even if they are being delivered to the same end user. Should one of our providers fail, packets leaving our network are automatically redirected through another route via a different provider, thus providing near zero down time for our customers. If you would like more information please don't hesitate to contact us .
